    Instruction Witnessed (Proverbs 1:1-9)

In our text, you will notice that instruction has several partners.  They are wisdom, understanding, justice, judgment, equity, subtilty, knowledge, discretion, learning and interpretation.  These are all qualities that accompany instruction.  You will never find these qualities alone, they are always paired with instruction.  It is as if these ten qualities are roaming about seeking a young man or woman who has yielded to instruction so that they can abide with them.  Once a young person is found who is hosting instruction, these ten witnesses are attracted to that individual.  They begin to impart their benefits immediately because they know that the vessel is ready to receive them.

If you will pardon the illustration, milk is good alone.  Cookies are good alone.  Milk and cookies together, however, are much better.  Pizza and soda together are better than separate.  Instruction is better when it is partnered with these witnesses.
